The following list
of charter companies, clubs and individuals are independent of The Des Moines
Register and RAGBRAI officials.
Some charters
provide round‑trip service from their location to the starting town and
back from the ending town. Other charters are just one way to the starting
town. There is a charge for all charters, and all arrangements must be made
before July 9.
NO CHARTER WILL
ACCEPT ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE A RIDER NUMBER ISSUED BY RAGBRAI. (The number
is indicated on your wristband and bicycle bands, baggage tag, license plate
and patch certificate.) Also, no charter can provide you with such bands or
tags along with their service.
We furnish this
list to participants as a service only, and we assume no responsibility for
you, your baggage or bicycle. These charters are the only ones sanctioned by
The Des Moines Register and RAGBRAI.
All arrangements
are made between you and the charter operator and do not involve The Des Moines
Register and RAGBRAI officials.
You are not
obligated to have any charter that takes you to the starting point carry your
baggage for the week. As part of your paid RAGBRAI rider fee, you are entitled
to place your bag on The Des Moines Register's semi-truck during the week of
the ride.
